Swim Instructor Training

Our swim instructor training is conducted by Ashleigh, our Northern Area Manager, who herself has years of experience teaching, and also happens to be a qualified school teacher.

Our training course is accredited by Skills Aktive and all participants receive a nationally recognised qualification. We pride ourselves on providing an extensive ongoing training programme to continually develop and improve our staff so we provide our clients with the best possible service. When a new teacher joins us, we provide a mixture of both theory and practical training over an intensive five day course, at the end of which our instructors are assessed before being given their own classes. Our teachers are quality checked at least twice per year by their on site managers and Ashleigh and we also run a minimum of two workshops per year for all of our teaching staff to get together and cover topics we feel need development.
   

Lifeguard Training

Our lifeguard training is a three day course run by our Central Area Manager, Fallyn, who has worked in the aquatics industry for over 15 years. The course consists of both theory and practical elements, teaching our lifeguards how to perform basic rescues, and deal with more serious incidents such as spinals.  Lifeguards will also need to complete a First Aid Course as part of the Skills Aktive qualification.
Ongoing training is then provided at least twice annually through fun workshops that bring together all of our staff from across our locations.
