Swim Instructors

Do you have a passion for helping others? Love to work with children? Have the patience, empathy and positive attitude required to be a teacher? You could be our next best swimming instructor!

We are looking for candidates with maturity, who are reliable and are committed to the development of the children they are teaching. Great communication, confidence, self-motivation and willingness to learn are essential. If you can demonstrate these qualities, we provide FREE TRAINING to become a great instructor (read below).

We are looking for new part-time instructors to cover shifts across all days of the week including daytime hours, after school hours, and weekends at most of our locations across Auckland (Mt Eden, New Windsor, Kelston, Massey, Northcote, Sunnynook).

Applicants must have NZ residency or valid NZ work visa.

Lifeguards 

Do you have impeccable customer service skills? Are you driven and motivated to work in a sole charge position? You could be our next lifeguard with Dean Greenwood Swim Schools - vacancies at our Mt Eden Pool.

We are looking for positive, reliable people with maturity who are committed to the delivering an exceptional standard of customer service. Self-motivation, high energy and attention to detail will be essential in this role. If you can demonstrate these qualities, we provide training to become a qualified lifeguard.

Applicants must have NZ residency or valid NZ work visa and must be able to complete a 200m swim in under 6 minutes.

Management Cadet 

This is a management development position designed to provide the successful applicant with the skills and attributes to lead a successful swim school team.

This fast track program is designed to develop suitable individuals into high performing site managers and leaders.

Skills range from teaching swimming, customer service, team supervision to operating swimming pools.

Providing safe working and teaching environments and developing positive successful individuals and teams.

This structured program prepares you for progression into Assistant Manager and Site Manager roles, with positions becoming available in 2027.
